The mishap happened on Monday, about 200 kilometers from the state capital of West Bengal, Kolkata.

The crash took place at around 20:30 GMT when an express train rammed into a train that was stationed at Sainthia. Immediate help was pressed into service by the government to rescue those who were left alive.

The rescue teams found it difficult to cut through the hard metal wreckage, thus delaying the rescue process. Several deaths happened due to the delay in rescue operations and because immediate help did not reach the victims, who were below tons of metal.

Indian Railways is considered to be one of the best in the world, catering and accommodating major chunk of population. It is also the most popular mode of transport in India.

A Sufi Shrine in the center of Lahore was marred with suicide attacks, killing at least 41 people and hundreds were injured. According to the Lahore police at least two suicide bombers blew themselves up in the attacks and the cause of the blast is being investigated.

The attackers chose a time when it was cool weather and many people had thronged the Sufi shrine. But they were in for a shock as three blasts occurred, one at the gate of the shrine, while the other two occurred in the basement of the shrine.

There was mayhem, as concerned relatives rushed to the shrine to find their loved ones, and many demonstrators gathered outside the shrine protesting the lack of security that lead to the attacks. The police had to fire in the air in order to disperse the crowd before it got violent.

According to the sources, this has not happened for the first time that bombings have occurred at Sufi Shrines as these are very popular tourist attractions. This is also an indication of the lack of security measures in Pakistan and Pakistan has become vulnerable to more attacks.

The Pakistan government faces the ire for its inability to track down militant is Punjab who have formed groups with Pakistanis Taliban to spread violence and terrorism in Pakistan.

The Nato military base in Jalalabad located in eastern Afghanistan was inundated with suicide bombing and gunfire’s, According to the Taliban, this was a message to the newly appointed general for Afghanistan.

According to the witnesses, there was gunfire and many US helicopters were seen hovering over the airfield at the military base.

According to Aljazeera newspaper, the Taliban has reported six people taking part in the attack.

It was well planned out attack where the Suicide bomber detonated himself in vehicle at the gate of the base while there were other fighters armed with AK47s and rocket propelled grenades stormed the airport.

Nato’s International Security Force (Isaf) has reported that Afghan and Isaf forces repelled a number of insurgents as they tried to attack the Jalabad airfield this morning as the attacked using vehicle propelled explosive device and other rocket borne grenades and many small arms fire.

According to sources around 2,700 military and civilian personnel are based at the site in eastern Afghanistan. The attacks also indicate that there is very little chance of reaching a consensus with the Taliban on ending the political unrest in the country.

Nepal to form a power sharing government, as the Prime Minister of Nepal has resigned as stated by the National Television. According to reports the Nepal Prime Minister stated that he had resigned in order to end the political deadlock that that gripped the nation.

According to Madhav Kumar, the resignation from the post of the Prime Minister is in lieu of demands for peace process as a new constitution will be formed and the present condition of political deadlock in the state would be resolved.

Madhav Kumar also stated that he had been facing pressure from the opposition Maoist party to resign and make away for a more power sharing government.

But all pleas for a consensus were rejected and he had to resign so that the government is able to enforce peace process by drafting a new constitution. Now Nepal will be ruled by three parties to form a power sharing government but they are yet to come to a consensus on what form it should take.

The troubled country has been marred with an increased amount of political unrest as politicians from the power sharing parties are vying for powerful positions in the cabinet. In the meantime the Prime Minister of Nepal will remain in his position as caretaker until his successor has been chosen.

Philippines have a new President, Beningo Aquino, as he promises to lift the country from poverty by eradicating a widespread corruption that has been plaguing the nation. The last month’s elections proved to be a success, as a large number of supporter voted in favor of Aquino.

It was a day of celebration and triumph in Philippines as Benigno Aquino took his place as the new president of Philippines.

Manila resounded with cheers from the crowds as Aquino made it clear that he will keep his promise and removing corruption and poverty from the nation would be the main principle behind his administration.

He also said that these words were not just slogan but a Motto for the new government.

The people of Philippines have great expectation from Aquino who they also refer to as Noynoy. He is also the descendant of great icons of democracy Benigno and Corazon Aquino who were strategic in challenging the rule of the country’s late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

His mother has been the Philippines president during the year 1986 during the people power revolution that also marked the end the Marco dictatorial ship. Most of the supporters present at the inauguration ceremony were dressed in yellow as this is a color associated with the people power party.
