An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Costa Rica at 6:55 p.m. Beijing Time Monday (GMT 1055), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 30 km, was initially determined to be at 9.2 degrees north latitude and 84.0 degrees west longitude.
