Sony files phone patent complaints against LG

Sony Corp. has filed patent infringement complaint against LG Electronics Inc. and its American subsidiaries of U. S. International Trade Commission, saying the LG mobile phones and modems stepped on patented technology, including photographs based caller ID. Among the seven proprietaries, Sony cites is a one in which it describes how to link pictures with numbers, so if someone calls any contact, for example, the caller’s photo appears on the phone, according to the documents made public Wednesday. Sony also has a lawsuit against LG U. S. District Court in Los Angeles. Filing is available online on Wednesday and it was not known if Sony made identical claims. LG did not immediately replied with messages seeking comment. US teen birth rate still far higher

The rate of teenage births in the U.S. is at its lowest level in almost 70 years. Still, the sobering context is that the teen pregnancy rate is much lower than in many other countries. The most convincing explanation is that contraceptive use is much higher among teenagers in most Western European countries.
