An Indian-origin girl child of six years has her name figured on the U.S. terror watch list, preventing her to fly in any plane in US. Alyssa was stopped from boarding a flight recently from Cleveland to Minneapolis, when her name popped up on the terror watch list of the US Homeland Security Department.
The girl’s father Santhosh Thomas, who is based in Ohio, said that he was puzzled at how his six year old daughter could be suspected as a dangerous terrorist.
On being barred from boarding the flight, the ticket agent informed the parents that their daughter Alyssa’s name was on the watch list. The parents have repeatedly contacted the Homeland Security, on which they were told that no changes would be made to the list.
The Transportation Security Administration has said that the terror watch lists are an important means of security to prevent any person with known or even suspected ties to terrorism from boarding flights in the US.
The Authorities have still not commented on this obvious mistake of taking a six year old as a terrorist.
This must be the joke of the century, a six year old with links to terrorists. A six year old may not know who or what a terrorist stands for. Boy what a blunder from the yankees, and they say that they have the best info available on the planet. The parents of the child should not let this lying down and take the case seriously as it exposes the chinks and lapses in the homeland security info. Thank God the accused is a child or else the accused would not have seen the light of another day as in the case of numerous detainees in Gitmo. GOD really save the WORLD from AMERICA.
This is shame-full attitude of American Authorities. They are unable to understand the age of 6 years.
