Those who were looking forward to another sister act on Saturday were disappointed as Serena Williams was left all alone after an unlikely Wimbledon uprising when sister Venus Williams and Kim Cjisters suffered defeat from new uprising champions.
The fate of the match was decided when the defending champion Serena Williams enter the sports arena and beat the opponent t Li Na from China.
The scoreboard read 7-5,6-3 was as expected by at the same time her sister Venus was beaten by Tsetana Pironkova from Bulgaria. Vanus was not alone as Kim Cjisters who has been considered to a be amatory obstacle by the sisters was beaten by Vera Zvonareva who occupies the 21st position.
It was an amazing three set defeat for Kim Cjisters while Pironkova who occupies the 82nd position in the world, managed to defeat Venus with a 6-2 and 6-3 defeat.
The Wimbledon was filed with many surprises and the winners have the golden chance of making it to the grand slam final for the first time. On the other hand Serena holds a better chance of winning her fourth Wimbledon title.
It would also add another feather to her crown as she will be playing against Petra Kvoitova in another semi final. When asked to comment about the victory, Pironkova states that Wimbledon has been like a religion for her.
