Stressing that Iran’s Nuclear Weapons programmes are a major threat to world peace, the US president has signed a bill that if approved will impose some of the toughest sanction on Iran. Till date the UN has been lenient, but now the US president is all set to target the Islamic republic in Iran.
The financial and scientific establishments are going to be the most affected by the UN sanctions. The bill was signed on Thursday and it will be instrumental in cutting off refined petroleum imports including gasoline and jet fuels and bans the United States banks to do business with foreign banks that are involved in transactions with the elite revolutionary Guards from Iran.
According to Obama, the new sanctions are designed in order to put a halt to the inflow of funds in Iran that are used by Iran in its nuclear programmes. Obama made the statement at the White House Summary.
The new sanctions have serious implications on banks doing business with Irtna as well as the United States of America. The Unilateral US sanctions are in lieu of the new United Nations Security Council Sanctions on Iran that were passed in the last month to no effect.
But according to critics, since Iran is quoting investment from emerging markets, it is difficult to ascertain if the new sanctions would be instrumental in putting a stop to nuclear programmes in Iran.

Mr Obama, what happened to your promises to mend the burnt bridges with Iran and other Middle east countries. What happened to your promises to herald a new era in US & Muslim relations. What happened to all those greetings sent to Iran and its people on Irans new years. Seems they were all just crocodile tears to boost up your international and local image. Now that you have got the Noble Prize for being the Peace Broker and smoking the peace pipe, You seem to have changed gears and is now beating the war drums.

Seems like Mr Ahmedijenad was true in his assesment that US has not changed its policy of Post 9/11 even one wee bit. We are back to square one in US-Iran relations it seems. Mr Obama guess no one(read Presidents, Senates, UN ) can do anything GOOD to Middle east or any Muslim country unless the jewish lobby line is towed. And that lobby stands for only jewish and zionist intrests, even american intrests are swept aside if they are found to be clashing with jewish/zionist intrests.
So it only goes to stem the fact that all this facade of forging new ties with Iran and other M.E countries was a big white lie, which is being told again and again by US, Remember the WMD’s of Iraq.
Mr Obama you have disappointed everyone from malaysia to morroco by way of your inability to bring about changes in the double faced policies of US.
There were hopes in minds of masses that you would not be like your Predecessors and that you would really mend those broken ties. But Alas the world has been let down again. Guess now its the Iranians turn to face the ire and indignation of not bowing to US/Israel hagemony over world politics.
And we see suffering of innocent masses that include women,children and even birds and animals. God help us all.
Wonder why Israel, North Korea, Venezuela and Now Burma are not being measured in the same yard stick as Iran is. Are not these countries except Israel also trying to produce or acquire nuclear weapons by hook or crook.
The only difference between being that none of these countries pose a threat to Isreal, while Iran and all Muslim countries with defence capablities are viewed as a direct threat to Israels existence.
If US and europe really want to establish peace and security in the world,then they should do way with this double faced policy towards Israel and Muslim countries. Or else we are only trying to fool ourselves and others by talking of Peace.
Simple case of ONE STEP FORWARD AND TWO STEPS BACKWARD.
This double faced policy of US is what is reponsible for the present mess that the world finds it self in. Israel is let free and not charged for any of its openly committed and self accepted crimes. Instead US turns a blind eye to all such atrocities committed by israel and even gives the green signal against such inhuman and barbaric actions of israel. Iran has reiterrated on numerous occasions that its nucleaur programme is for civilan purposes and to cut its dependancy on traditional fuel. Is this not what the world wants,To cut down on fossil fuel consumption and thereby reduce the carbon emmisions.So Why US and its allies not think in the positive aspect and leave Iran alone. Why N Korea is not measured in the same scale as Iran or anyother muslim country is. Why there are no concerted efforts to rein in N korea or Israel and why only Iran is targetted. The point is my freind that Iran or any muslim country aquiring nuclear technology or weapons is not acceptable by US and its allies as this might signal the begining of the end of Israel. Hence efforts to put out the fire at its first spark is the motto of US and Israel. Iraqs ambitious efforts to aquire this trechnology was snuffed out by Israels bombings of Iraqs nuclear site and abducting its leading sceintist and eliminating the threat. The world didnt even notice and no one bothered to protest this find and eliminate policy of Israel. Israels aquiring of this technology has upset the balance of power in the middle east. If Iran has to forego its nucleur programme, US should first start with Israel, Israel should abandon and cap its anti arab stance, revert back to its claim on jerusalem, stop its atrocities on innocent civilians in Palestine. Israel is the biggets threat to peace in middle east,its hawkish stance in the region is what is spoiling peace and peace efforts. But the bigger picture is that US has permanent designs and intrests in middle east. It needs a monster like Israel to instill and mantain a phobia of fear. A mass hysteria created to project US as its most trusted partner and freind and a veil to protect middle east from Israels designs. US sees that its intrests are served by way of selling its old and obsolete arms or even use middle east as its testing ground for its weapons. While Isreal is being constantly armed with latest state of the art weapons and while if some middle east country tries to obtain old,outdated arms from other than US is condemned,condoned, the selling country is pressured into ending the deal. Why this hypocrisy. This is what is causing the upset of balance of power. But sadly muslim countries in middle east are eating out of US hands and are bullied into submission . Even if someone rare like Iran does stand up to ask its rights, The rights is mis-interpreted as a direct threat to Peace
Democracy,US and ultimately Isreal. Various methods and sanctions are dished out to ensure that the spark is put out at its first instance. Solution lies in fair judgement,unbiased thinking,abandoing unconditional support and just policies to be implemented by US in middle east. Middle eastern countries in turn should try to gather itself behind Iran. Countries affcected by biased policies of US should come together and form a bloc, Countries like Iran,Syria,Lebanon,Venzuela,Malasia, N,Korea ,China etc..should forge an alliance and see that US/Israel desings are quashed. US/Israel’s monopoly on world politics, hold over UN and UN decisions should be questioned and alternate sources developed to mantain the balance of power.
