The Jharkhand police claims to have killed 10 Maoists in the Borhat jungle during its new operation against them.

The operation “Green Hawk” was brought into action jointly by CRPF and Special Task Force. Police also claims that it has destroyed 8 Maoists camps .

Nearly two thousand police personals were involved in carrying out this operation in an area which was estimated to have nearly 900 Maoists. 35 clay more mines have also been reduced to ashes in the area.

3 Helicopters have been brought into service to continuously monitor the area.
