Istanbul – After a fierce attack by the Israeli commandos on the Gaza bound aid ships on Monday, where at least 15 people were killed, many countries around the world are in for a huge ‘shock’ on the brutal assault by the Israelis. The Muslim leaders around the globe demanded swift action by the UN to punish the “criminal” assault by the Israelis.

Infact, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned this violent act by the Israelis and expressed deep shock on the navy assault on a convoy carrying many Palestinians on board, in the international waters towards Gaza.

The European Union urgently demanded a probe into the matter at the earliest, and countries like France and Germany too are “shocked”. The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared the 3-day official mourning for the deceased, and expressed his anguish in a statement where he said, “What Israel committed on board the Freedom Flotilla was a big massacre.”

Meanwhile, Turkey, which was the lone Muslim ally of Israel in the Middle-East till now, had now demanded severe punishment for the Israeli culprits, and has threatened Israel with unprecedented reprisal in reply.

Israel is now on high alert on the Gaza, Lebanese and Syrian borders and all around Jerusalem fearing the retaliatory attacks from Turkey, and the Arab League has also called for an emergency meeting on Tuesday to come on a common response for the brutal act by the Israelis.

Greece has already cancelled the military exercise with Israel, and Egypt will also end the blockade of Gaza soon. It is now the response from the Washington that is being still awaited for.
