Two concerts have been cancelled, which were supposed to be held this summer by Elvis Costello, one of the popular singers of Britian. These events were planned on 30th June and 1st of July, however, Elvis, considered it to be a political move and said that “it resonates more than anything that might be sung”.

He believed this being “too grave and complex” to be addressed in concert, “then it is also quite impossible to look the
other way”.

“There are people who question on settlement and deplore conditions that visit intimidation, humiliation or much worse on

Palestinian civilians in the name of national security”,Costello said.

After rethinking about the tensions and complex scenes in the area, he decided to take such a stance. He later apologized the Israeli media and his fans for the event that has been called off by him.

He believes that he would not be given opportunity in Israel for such a concert anytime in future, for which he was quite regretful.

Earlier, Santana and Gil Scott-Heron had cancelled their tours in Israel.Elvis Costello is yet another perormer to drop his tour to Israel.
