Cupertino, California – Since its launch about two months ago in April first week, Apple iPad sales have crossed 2 million mark, according to Apple Inc on Monday. The company had sold out about 1 million iPads in US alone just 28 days post its launch.

Due to strong public demand here at home, the company pushed back its release date of its international sales that time. According to Apple’s spokeswoman, Ms. Natalie Harrison, the company does not break out the sales figures based on region publicly.

The basic model costing about $499 is a huge rage in US. Now Apple has started selling the product in Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and Britain since last weekend. Apple promises to sell off the product in nine more countries by the month of July and also in additional countries by the year end.
