The US assistant secretary of state, Jeffrey Feltman also have put his remarks against supplying and obtaining of weapons by the two countries, Syria and Lebanon respectively. The Israeli president,Shimon Peres too had openly accused Syria of supplying high-end weapons to Lebanonese group,Hezbollah.
However, Syrian foreign minister,Walid al-Moualem and Lebanese Prime Minister , Saad al-Hariri both have refused of having any such claim.
Jeffrey Feltman, in a congregation meet said that the investigation has been started. He said “If these reports turn out to be true, we’re going to have to review the full range of tools that are available for us in order to make Syria reverse what would be an incendiary, provocative action,”.
“I expect that all options are going to be on the table looking at this.”he added.
Saad al-Hariri has strongly denied the claims. He believes that Israel is making false allegations, and trying to threaten Lebanon.
While denying the Israeli claim, Syria has held Israel responsible for disrupting peace in the country. It said that “Israel might be looking for an excuse to attack”.
