Iran continues to show interest over the nuclear fuel swap, even though there had been minimal progress on the
proposal.Iran’s foreign minister expressed such views, during his meet with the director of International Atomic Energy Agency ,Yukiya Amano.
According to the media sources of Iran, Manouchehr Mottaki is supposed to have said “The nuclear fuel swap proposal is still on the table,”while having talks with Amano,head of IAEA.
He added saying “Iran’s acceptance of the deal will prove the country’s goodwill and political will.”
Iran has decided to go for conversion of fuel for its nuclear reactor at Tehran, following the proposal. Countries like France and Russia would do the job of fuel conversion of Enriched Uranium for Iran.
IAEA spokesman has said that Amano and Mottaki had dicussions regarding the peace deal.Moreover, there had been exchange of views about its realization.
During the efforts to put off a new rhythm of sanctions against Iran, for its controversial nuclear programme, there were also detailed talks held between Muttaki and his Austrian counter-partner,Michael Spindelegger.
