In spite of verbal fight between Shiv Sena activists and Sharukh khan ending up, Hindi film-industry film-maker Karan Johar takes no single chance ahead of the release of his film “My Name is Khan” and has met Mumbai Police Commissioner D. Sivanandan to assure full protection and police security and that the film to be released on schedule.
FOX Searchlight, the representatives of the film’s distributor are also meeting the top Mumbai cop along with Multiplex owners.
Earlier, it was reported that Shiv sena- a hindu extremist organization activists tore down the posters of Bollywood flick ‘My Name is Khan’. The entire team of the flick My Name is Khan is worried that theaters in Mumbai are not selling tickets and there are no advance bookings.
In fact, the Shiv Sena was upset with Shahrukh’s statements that Pakistani cricketers should be permitted to play in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shiv Sena activists had also warned theater owners with dire consequences in Mumbai not to screen Shahrukh’s forthcoming movie releasing on Friday (Feb 12).
