New York: More than 50 people have been feared dead in the massive explosion that ripped across the power plant in Connecticut on Sunday. The rescue mission is own even though there is no hope of survivors anymore, officials said.
Many houses and shops shook due to the powerful blast in Middle town which is a home to fourty thousand people on the Connecticut river. The blast blew fire and flames high up in the sky, clearly visible from several miles across the city.
The hospital officials say that nearly 50 people might be dead in this blast while several others are injured.
This plant was still under construction and was expected to be one of the largest power plants. It was being built on the river of Connecticut which also houses many residential houses.
The cause of blast is however not known yet.
