Switzerland: The news came as a surprise to many, especially those who were campaigning against minarets of mosques, that the well known Swiss political leader Daniel Streich embraced Islam. Daniel had come into limelight of the world media when he launched his campaign to impose permanent ban on minarets of mosques and to lock down the mosques in Switzerland.
The acceptance of new faith by this Swiss politician has brought a storm within Swiss politics, especially at the time when campaigns against Islamic rulings were on high. Streich has been busy creating anti Islamic movement across the country by sowing the seed of hatred amongst the Swiss people. He had rose to fame through such acts and was a forerunner in the movement against Islamic rulings.
However, Streich explains that his anti Islamic ideology brought him closer to Islamic teachings and he could not resist but accept the truth. Many Swiss politicians were taken aback when Streich announced his newly accepted faith and how he wanted to lay foundation for fifth mosque in Switzerland. There are presently only four mosques in Switzerland.
Abdul Majeed Aldai, the president of OPI, an NGO, working for the welfare of Muslims, says that Europeans have a great desire to know about Islam. Some of them want to know about the relationship between Islam and terrorism; same was the case with Streich.
President and director of Peace Propagation center, Imran Ali, also commented on this incident saying “This is the greatest quality of Islam that when it is confronted with hate and resistance, it only takes the person into the fold of its truth”. He also added “same is the case with streich, he tried to be harsh with Islam, only to end up accepting it as his way of life”.
Earlier, The Swiss nationals had given legal status to the ban on minarets of mosques in Switzerland.

wonderful, I would like to say it,,Swiss politician have to aware to ban Islamic sign, when they launched their campaign to impose permanent ban on minarets of mosques:then is not acceptable because the community of the Swiss Islamic have right to find their minarets of mosques, there fore, the foundements always to persuade the people they see western countries launch their campaign to impose permanent ban on the actives of the Islamic community on mean time , the goal of the terrorists go on smoothly, so that, I will like to say, stop, that,,,
