Haiti: In a shocking incident reported, more than 33 children were saved from getting kidnapped by the 10 American missionaries, in the aftermath of the recent Earthquake. The Christian missionaries were found attempting to make the children cross the border illegally, having convinced them of good home.

On Thursday, The Haitian deputy prosecutor, Jean Ferge Joseph, announced the charges and informed that the case of these 10 American christian missionaries would be sent for investigation to a Judge. He also added that the judge can either free them or put them on trial for this crime.

This American christian missionary group comprised of 5 men and 5 women. They however appealed not guilty saying that they actually wanted to help the children and did not intend to kidnap them.

however, investigations have unearthed new evidences including the one that says that not all the children out of these 33 were orphans and that their parents did not give consent to take their children away. However, some parents agreed that they wanted to give away their children for their better future.

The authorities in Haiti said that this missionary group did not have proper authorization to take the children out of the country. The case becomes stronger against the suspected Kidnappers if parents of the children file a criminal appeal.

Since last Friday, these American christian missionaries have been in jail and did not wanted to speak to media.
