TRS calls for 48-hour bandh

48-hour shutdown has been called in the region by Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) starting this Thursday.

This stance has been taken in view of alleging the central government on betrayal of Telanganian troops.

TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao has sent his resignation in the Lok Sabha.

He said “All public representative from the Telangana region will resign by noon tomorrow,”.

KCR has given a warning to the government as not to adopt double standards when dealing with the formation of the new state.

There were also clashes between the police and the TRS supporters who raised slogans like “Jai Telengana’in the Kakatiya university campus.These protests were actively carried out by the students of Nizam college and many activites of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The Situation near Osmania University also worsened when students came out on street, raising their voices against the government.Their demand intended the resignation of political officials.

BJP has also encouraged Telangana Bandh in Hyderabad and other nine districts on Thursday.Students on roads have pelted stones on many buses damaging around ten buses ,including six in Tarnaka.Many shops were also forcibly closed.

KCR said “Rosaiah should withdraw these orders otherwise you will face a volatile situation. You will have no moral authority to continue as your government will be reduced to minority after we submit our resignations,”.

“How long will it take for the formation of Telangana state. Another 50 years? How many more people have to die,” he added.

While Chidambaram said , “We appeal to political parties and students to withdraw their agitations and maintain peace and harmony.

Closure of RTC bus services in the area has been called and educational institutions shall also remain closed as per ABVP.

Section 144 will be imposed in till January 1 in Hyderabad.
