Sanjay Somani or Sanjay Somany 51 years old Managing Director of Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited, was caught last evening at the airport for allegedly stealing a high-end mobile phone of a passenger when he returned from Chennai.
According to reports a probe was done into the complaint by one N K Puri, who complained Airport authorities early on Monday morning that his blackberry phone had been stolen from inside the airport premises just before he boarded his Mumbai bound flight. No sooner he complained airport authorities checked the CCTV footage and discovered that a person wearing blue attire stealing away a phone during the security check process at the airport. The person in blue attire was later identified as Sanjay Somany.
Sanjay Somany is Managing Director of Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited. a Kolkata based company. According to website of company Mr. Sanjay Somany is a Commerce Graduate and has obtained a diploma in Diesel Engineering and has vast knowledge of the Glass Manufacturing Technology. At present he is the Managing Director of the Company. He is the Ex-Managing Director of M/s. Glass Equipment (India) Limited a Subsidiary of the Company and has an experience of around 26 years in the glass industry. He is an expert in glass technology and is closely involved in the management and administration of the Company. He was the past president of All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation.

Sanjay somani has said that he did not steal the blackberry, rather he mistaken picked up the wrong blackberry as his phone is also similar. He said “why do i have to steal a blackberry? My company gives me free gadgets to use. I can buy thousands of such blackberries and throw them away, it really doesn’t touch me an inch.” He also added that this was just a gimmick played by someone to get famous. I do not mind media reporting the issue as was understood earlier. However, i would want to see if media corrects the image of a person back after knowing the truth.

This website has mis-reported the story.. I checked to find that the man was actually in a hurry and the security cop gave the phone to him and he did not check to see that it is someone else’s phone.
So it’s quite clear why real criminals go un-punished. The dumb CISF cronies are busy victimizing people just to get themselves in the limelight.
