US based private security firm Black water has been carrying out contract based attacks
Black-water a US based private security firm has been accused of carrying out furtive kidnapping and assassinations against suspected Taliban and Al-Qaeda members in Pakistan’s northwest region.
An article was published by The Nation’s magazine which exposed that the firm which is currently known as “XE” was involved in carrying out US military drone bombings in Pakistan.
The journalist who investigated the events, Jeremy Scahill, exposed the story on Tuesday on an Al Jazeera’s program which was so secretively held out that even the senior officials of the US president, Barack Obama were unaware.
Jeremy said “What I learned is that for years there has been a covert operation of the US military inside Pakistan’s borders … and that Black-water operatives are at the center of not only the drone bombing campaign but also planning snatch-and-grab operations of high value targets”.

Attacks on the civilians in Pakistan has also been blamed on the infamous Black water
He began saying that a former Black-water official and military intelligence sources said that a concealed agreement was signed between the US and Pakistan’s government to carry out the killings.
Jeremy said that “In 2006, the Bush administration struck a deal with the government in Islamabad that would allow US special forces to actually enter Pakistani territory if what they were doing was hunting Osama bin Laden or his top deputies”.
“The agreement was such that the Pakistanis said that they would have the right to deny that they had given permission”.
As the story was exposed no immediate response was seen from the White house or from Islamabad. But later the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mike Mullen asked him to reject the allegations.
Jeremy said “I did not call them, they called me and told me that the [allegations] did not stand up to reality”.
“I’ve talked to my sources though, and they say that it’s possible that officials within the military chain of command are simply not in what [they] called ‘the circle of love’ on this program”.
The Pakistani army has been hammering Taliban in the northwest Pakistani region and in Waziristan. Since then suicide attacks have been seen in Pakistan which were blamed on Taliban and said that they were attacking in retaliation.
But recently Taliban released a video saying that Black-water was behind the bomb attacks in Pakistan which added more doubts to the current situation. Azam Tariq had posted a video on internet saying that Taliban never aimed their attacks on civilians and that all the attacks carried out on the civilians were done by the Black-water in order to disrepute the Taliban.
Black-water which is from North Carolina is said to provide security to the Diplomats around the globe but it is also facing charges of human rights violation which stems from 2007 shooting in Iraq which killed more than 17 civilians.
