Bomb Explosion in Residential Area of Peshawar

A Bomb Blast that occurred in Residential area of Peshawar killed 1 child and left 9 people severely injured. The incident happened hours after the gunmen struck Lahore killing 23 people.

The site of Blast Gulshan-e-Rahman colony on Kohat Road was home to many government employees of Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

All the Hospitals in the city declared emergency. The body of a child and 9 others who were injured seriously in the Blast were brought to the Lady Reading Hospital.

TV news channels relayed the footage of the building whose walls were blown apart by the explosion and the impact was felt several kilometers away from the site of Blast.

No group claimed responsibility for this Blast and the exact nature of the explosion was not known.

This blast occurred in the capital hours after the Federal Investigation Agency office and two Police Training centers were targeted.

A total of 31 people were killed in all of  these attacks including 10 attackers in Lahore.
