Paris: The french farmers showed their anger by protesting and throughout the nation for not paying attention to the problems their sector’s been facing.They blocked the famous Champs-Elysees Avenue, and many other cities also saw the angry farmers protesting out on the road.western France in a place called poitiers the farmers dumped 1000 cubic meters of soil in the city center.Several hundreds of farmers took up their tractors and entered the cities from north to the south of France and messed up the highways, roads and the traffic was brought to a halt.

The nation saw around 52,000 angry farmers protesting throughout the country.According to the FNSEA (Federation Nationale des Exploitants Agricoles) about 50 cereal growers set up barriers in Paris and and set up hays and tires completely blocking the rush hour traffic for several hours.

President of the “Young Farmers” organization, Damien Greffin said that “The farming world is dying, What we’re asking for, is an increase in the price of raw material”.According to the French Farm Ministry the income of the french farmers dropped annually by 20 % and the situation did not even improve this year.

The farmers are now asking the government to put in trust an aid of worth $2.1 billion.

Bruno Le Maire , Farm minister said that “Today, the whole agricultural France is suffering,I’m currently working , based on the farm revenue for 2009, on the preparation of a global aid plan to the French agriculture”.

President Sarkozy declared that they would take “strong initiatives” for the farming sector before November starts.
