Tarek Mehanna, a 27-year-old man of Massachusetts allegedly conspired to attack U.S shopping mall and two govt. personnel, has been arrested in the northeastern part of Massachusetts.

The man, is charged on providing  support  to  terrorist, says Michael Loucks, an acting U.S.Attorney and also said Tarek Mehanna and his co-plotter talked on mall attack by the use of automatic weapons but failed in its attempt.

But this surprised the neighbors, who confirmed that the suspect as non-violent and calm hearted. A Lebanese-American, Cafic Maalouf said”You could see the kindness in his eyes.”

Another neighbor was astonish when came to know about such allegations, Paul McManus,said “He was everyday normal,’’ McManus said. ”When he was out walking, he was friendly, neighborly.

One more lady from the same street said,Tarek Mehanna did his graduation in Pharmacy last few years. “It’s heartbreaking,’’ she said of his arrest. Tarek Mehanna’s mother came out of the house and got in to the limousine. “He’s a very good guy. He’s innocent,”said his mother. Mehanna’s mother urged for the prayers as Maalouf approached the car.

With more and more suspects being taken in by US, without enough evidence just on the basis of mere suspicion as aroused world wide criticism. A leading newspaper in US says “Such a careless attitude of US officials will only cause innocents to suffer, while the real terrorist will be at large”.
