$1.5 Billion worth swine flu shots sold

Swine-flu_15102009Dalia Fahmy of ABC news reported that swine flu shots of around $1.5 billion worth were sold by the drug companies apart from $1 billion worth of other seasonal flu. These figures add up to to a huge $20 billion market of the global vaccine.

Bruce Carlson , a spokesperson at market research firm in Kalorama says that “The vaccine market is booming” .This market research firm publishes the annual survey of the vaccine industries.

Bruce Carlson is amazed at the figures and says “It’s an enormous growth area for pharmaceuticals at a time when other areas are not doing so well”.
