A Jet Airways statement said that the ongoing strike by it’s pilots has been called off as an amicable agreement was reached. Effective Sunday, jet would resume its full schedule of services in all sectors. All crew members will report for their normal rostered duties.
The five-day strike by jet airways pilots was called off following hectic talks between jet management and National Aviator’s Guild officials. The four sacked pilots will be taken back and resume their duties. A consultative group was put in place including two Jet Airways Board members, the CEO, two representatives of flight operations and five representatives of the pilots. This group will address the issues of pilots and management in all issues. This group will stand in place of a union. These decisions were announced by Jet Executive Director Saroj Dutta.
In five days jet has lost around 200 crores in its revenues. Jet bookings have come down to nearly 7000 passengers per day by Sept 12. Normally jet carried 23000 passengers per day before the strike was started. Jet resumed all international Flights immediately after the strike was called off and all domestic Flights will be in normal schedule by Monday noon
