Going against the ban put by the Court, MNS leader Raj Thackeray gave a public speech and also spoke to Media. He said that he is not against Chhat Puja. He is only concerned that it should not be given political face.

He pointed out that he is against converting migrants into vote banks. His public speech comes as a defiance to the courts order.

He was also asked about the youth from UP who was attacked and murdered in Mumbai’s local train. He simply replied saying that no action was taken earlier when a marathi youth had died who was attacked by outsiders.

A ban was put on Raj from giving public speeches by court when he was arrested for unleashing violence by his party members on north indians who had come to take up the Railway recruitment board exams.

However, he had police permission only to talk to media and were present to monitor his statements. There is heavy pressure from Centeral government on Maharashtra government to take stern action against Raj Thackeray for unleashing terror on North Indians.

In another incident on Tuesday, a North Indians worker was beaten to death on a train outside Mumbai.
