Gujarat police happens to be the first to claim that they have nabbed those behind the dreadful blasts that rocked India recently.

Although their claims are quite doubtful, sources said that they have arrested 10 people allegedly involved in the Ahmadabad blasts. One Mufti Abdul Bashir was arrested from Lucknow in UP, who the police claims, is the master mind behind the Ahmadabad Blasts. The police also says that they have exposed a network of SIMI activists involved in these blasts.

Funny as it sounds, the police sources say that the investigations were carried out with the help of police from other states and found that SIMI network was behind this plan. The alleged Mufti, Abdul Bashir, is said to have masterminded these blasts while coordinating actively with SIMI activists.

Police also claims that they have valuable information about other blasts that happened in other parts of India and said that an email that was sent as a warning is also being traced. Two out of 10 are said to have connection with Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Police also discovered that Hizbul Mujahideen is another name or face of SIMI. Just prior to blasts, the alleged suspects conducted meetings in Ahmadabad and Vadodara.

The explosives were supposedly procured from outside the city and all of the members met at the place of SIMI activist Yunus in Ahmadabad. In that drastic event, 56 people were killed in 21 blasts that hit Ahmadabad. Though the blasts were not powerful enough, they did cause damage.

Its ironic that though the entire story is police based, the facts seem to mislead us. The involvement of Narendra Modi in the entire episode does raise questions, which even top and senior journalists like Rajdeep and Barkha dutt have said, that this would only end with some Muslims behind bars. But who is the real culprit or is it just a political gimmick to fool us Indians?
