The Telugu matinee idol announced his entry into politics nine days back and proposed an agenda to remove corruption from politics at the top.
The economically backward classes of farmers, artisans and people living in backward regions of Andra and Rayalseema will be focused and development in these areas is on the top priority.
The public meeting in took place at Avilala Cheruvu venue of the 1992 AICC plenary, was filled with crazy fans all over Andra Pradesh. Thousands of vehicles and 18 special trains were arranged for the people. And a huge Electronic screen was present for those who sat far from the stage. Mr.Chiranjeevi spoke about all the major issues from agrarian crisis and farmers suicides to Naxalism and Telangana issue. He protested the sale of liquor as it was taking poor people to more poverty .He said a scientific assessment of various issues like the categorization of the Schedule caste.
However he said regarding the Telangana separation, that his part will respect the feelings of discrimination among the people and recognize the need to protect their self respect .He declared that he will oppose corruption in irrigation project. He said his part would support these sections in accessing good education and health care.
Chiru spoke about his humble beginning as the eldest son of lower middle group government employee, a police constable. And he was born when his mother was only 16yrs, he was both her boy and a toy. He knew the problems of farmers as he had experience of agriculture from sowing to harvesting, as he assisted his father. He hails from Mogaltur, a village in West Godavari.
Explaining why he was joining politics, the fact that he was a source of entertainment to the people till now. He stood alone on the dais, during the entire event and said ” I am your servant and not your leader.
