In an amazing climax to anti-climax, The tribunal ruling over the ban of SIMI given by High court was squashed by the Supreme Court’s decision. Earlier this week, High court had lifted the ban on Students Islamic movement of India, popularly known as SIMI, on the basis of no proper evidence. This decision sent waves of shock and panic throughout the security forces of India causing a havoc.
The Supreme court Chief Justice K.G.Balakrishnan and Justice A K Mathur overruled the tribunal’s ruling after an urgent plea was submitted by the government of India which described the decision of high court to bring irreparable damage to the country’s effort to curb terrorist activities. This suspension of ruling gave a sigh of relief to most in the authority.

The Delhi High court Justice Geeta Mittal, who lead the anti-terror tribunal constituted under the unlawful activities prevention act had rejected the ban on SIMI and said that no proper evidence was presented. She said in her 267 page order that the material provided by the home ministry is insufficient, hence Ban cannot continue.

Such are the games in India. You see a climax, and then you have an anti-climax for it!
