National capital experienced a complete halt when the traffic movement was affected by the BJP and VHP activists, who blocked many roads in order to express their nation wide protest against the Amarnath Land row.

They call this protest as “Chakka Jam”. Traffic, including train movement was disrupted when activists blocked roads and railway tracks here on Wednesday.

This traffic block in capital happened at 9 am when most of the people are on their way to their offices and colleges. Two hours of frustration in traffic jam left many angry. Trains were halted on the Delhi to Jaipur route for a good amount of time.

Akshardham, ITO, Deepali Chowk, Vikas Marg, Delhi Ghaziabad road, Delhi Jaipur highway, Delhi noida delhi highway, Uttam nagar, Delhi cantonment and Dhaula kuan were the places affected aparted from the others.

VHP and BJP activists, carrying flags and shouting slogans, which included women as well of sangh parivar, gathered near the major intersections in the early morning causing a complete jam for 2 hours.

Strangely no person was arrested in this event. Its amazing that now the politicians can disrupt the physical lives of common people, apart from eating their money in the form of Taxes and benefits. Government should have immediately arrested and put those responsible behind bars to show that no person can take law in their hands. According to the law, disrupting Traffic for no reason is a serious crime.

This event leaves a question in our mind, what does Amarnath Land row has to do with disrupting traffic throughout the country?
