Sensex went down by 16 points to 14,258 levels, displaying a flat trading of markets on early Monday. An increase by 0.1 per cent to 4314 levels, the broader markets index looked green enough.
while selling is evident in banking counters by 1.3 per cent, the buying is visible in Healthcare, IT, Capital goods, Realty counters and FMCG by more than 0.5 per cent each.
“Due to the Asian cues, i expect the markets to open flat today,but it would be range bound. On the upper side, Nifty might reach 4390 levels while on the downside, it might touch 4250 levels.” said the Technical Analyst, V K Doshi. Hong Kong’s hang seng and Japan’s Nikkei are in green while the other Asian markets are running flat this Monday morning. South Korea’s kospi is also in red turf.
The biggest loser among the sectoral indices is the Banking index (BSE), which shed 86 points or 1.3 per cent. Andhra Bank, Kotak Mahindra and ICICI Bank are the big losers of the whole bunch.
