In the toughest times as Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh sure knows how to keep his hopes alive. As he reached the parliament house to meet his United progressive Alliance (UPA) government which faces huge pressure to seek confidence vote at a special session in Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh showed the victory symbol. He sure knows how to keep his cool during these times of pressure.
He confirmed that his government would surely prove its majority in the parliament, as he was flanked by vayalar RAvi, the parliamentary affairs minister. At the 543 member house, Prime Minister would show a one-line vote of confidence motion for his government, at a special session arranged for the same even though Prime Minister himself is not a member of Lok Sabha.

Earlier this month, the left parties withdrew their support for his government over the much hue and cry on the Indo-US nuclear deal issue, thus reducing the government to minority causing immense pressure. External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee would speak in favor while leader of opposition, L.K Advani would oppose the motion. The session would continue long enough with both sides speaking against and for, when the voting officially will take place.

The UPA government has been making uncertain claims about their majority which soon will be seen after the voting results. During this time of crisis, independent members and smaller parties would play a major role in proving the governments majority. Numerous MPs started coming at parliament house. Only time would say whether the current government stays or it goes!
